Grid-connected rooftop solar projects are gathering momentum in India. As on 31.07.2018, total investment on rooftop solar projects stands at US$ 0.76 billion at 2018 price of solar plants. Rooftop solar installations expanded by 66 per cent to 1.7 GW of capacity in 2018, So, on the back of strong pace of capacity additions in India, grid-connected solar employment estimated to 1, 15,000 jobs.
