Description: The Airports Authority of India (AAI) has tendered a 1 MW solar PV project at the Begumpet airport in Hyderabad on a turnkey basis. The scope of work includes site survey, shadow analysis, complete design for optimal use of space, engineering, manufacture, supply, storage, insurance, civil work, erection, testing, and commissioning of the grid-connected solar PV project. Moreover, the project would need to be connected to a 33 kV transmission line. The successful bidder will also provide operation and maintenance (O&M) services for a 12-year period. The cost of O&M has been fixed as Rs 14,923,776 by the AAI for the entire O&M period. The engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) project is estimated to cost Rs 56,764,170 and the project completion timeframe has been set as five months from the date of award of the contract.
