Tariff structure and design

Single part, levellised, generic tariff.

Merit Order Dispatch principles

‘Must run’ power plants and thereby not subject to merit order dispatch principle. 

Subsidy or/and incentives by government
  • Benefits of accelerated depreciation have been included in tariff.
  • Any other benefits such as capital subsidy, grants provided by central or state government shall be deducted by distribution licensee in subsequent billing for micro, mini and small hydro projects.
  • GBI shall be retained by the generator over and above tariff for wind projects.
  • All subsidies shall be passed on to the purchaser of electricity for MSW to energy projects.
