• Time of Day tariff will be additional to the above.  

• Augmentation of transmission system shall be done only in case of long term open access.
• Construction of a dedicated transmission line shall not be considered as augmentation of transmission system. 

• To intra-state transmission system – consumer having load of 10 MW and above or generating station having capacity of 10 MW and above.
• To the distribution system – generating companies having installed capacity of less than 10 MW.
• With due permission from SLDC, generating companies may inject infirm power into the grid for testing against imbalance charges or UI charges.
• Decision on connectivity shall be conveyed within 60 days from receipt of applications.

Application fees for consumers seeking connection to intra-state transmission system:

• Rs.1,00,000 with less than 10 MW capacity having drawal and injection points within the state.
• Rs.1,00,000 with less than 10 MW capacity having injection point in the distribution system within the state.
• Rs.2,00,000 otherwise.

Application fees for consumers seeking connection to distribution system:

• Rs.25,000 with less than 10 MW capacity having drawal and injection points within the same distribution licensee’s area.
• Rs.50,000 with 10 MW and above capacity having drawal and injection points within the same distribution licensee’s area.
• Rs.50,000 with below 10 MW capacity having drawal and injection points within the state but in different distribution licensee areas.
• Rs.50,000 with below 10 MW capacity having injection point in the intra-state transmission system.
• Rs.1,00,000 otherwise.

Application shall be accompanied by a bank guarantee corresponding to Rs.10,000/MW of the total power.

Time frame for disposal of application for connection to intra-state transmission system:

• 120 days when augmentation is not required for drawal and injection points within the state and injection point in the distribution system is within the state.
• 150 days when augmentation is required for drawal and injection points within the state and injection point in the distribution system is within the state.
• As per Central Commission’s Regulations in case drawal and injection points are in different states.

Time frame for disposal of application for connection to distribution system:

• 20 working days when drawal and injection points are within the same distribution licensee’s area.
• 120 days when augmentation is not required and drawal and injection points are within the state, but in different distribution licensee areas, and injection point is in the intra-state transmission system.
• 150 days when augmentation is required and drawal and injection points are within the state, but in different distribution licensee areas, and injection point is in the intra-state transmission system.
• As per Central Commission’s Regulations in case drawal and injection points are in different states.

• Rs.25,000 with less than 10 MW capacity having drawal and injection points within the same distribution licensee’s area.
• Rs.50,000 with 10 MW and above capacity having drawal and injection points within the same distribution licensee’s area.
• Rs.50,000 with below 10 MW capacity having drawal and injection points within the state but in different distribution licensee areas.
• Rs.50,000 with below 10 MW capacity having injection point in the intra-state transmission system.

Application fees for consumers seeking connection to intra-state transmission system:

• Rs.50,000 with less than 10 MW capacity having drawal and injection points within the state.
• Rs.50,000 with less than 10 MW capacity having injection point in the distribution system within the state.
• Rs.1,00,000 otherwise.

Application fees for consumers seeking connection to distribution system – Rs.5,000 for all projects.

Time frame for disposal of application for connection to intra-state transmission system:

• As per Central Commission’s Regulations in case drawal and injection points are in different states.
• 7 working days for first application and 3 working days for subsequent applications.

Day-ahead open access applications should reach the nodal agency three days prior to the date of scheduling but no later than 13:00 hrs of the day immediately preceeding the day of scheduling.

In case capacity sought exceeds availability or any congestion in the respective transmission and distribution system is found, then capacity shall be allocated through electronic bidding procedure.
