12^th Five Year Plan.

Estimated at Rs.4500 crore (including liability towards project commissioned during 11^th Five YearPlan period.)

• Rs.0.50/unit of electricity fed into the grid for no less than 4 years and a maximum of 10 years with a cap of Rs.100 lakhs/MW.
• Total disbursement in a year will not exceed Rs.25 lakhs/MW during the first four years.
  

Grid interactive projects commissioned on or after 01.04.2012, set up for sale of electricity to grid at tariff fixed by SERC, captive including group captive (excluding third party sale).

Scheme will be applicable for the entire 12^thplan period with a cap of 15000 MW

• Wind power producers to register with IREDA.
• IREDA will credit GBI to developer through their designated bank account on a 6-monthly basis.
• GBI over and above the SERC approved tariff.
• Mechanism of Unique Identification (UI) number developed by IREDA will have to be followed by all the power developers to claim GBI.
