Octroi on NRSE fuels to be used for energy generation and NRSE devices/equipment/machinery for NRSE Power Projects shall be fully exempted. Manufacturing and sale of NRSE devices/systems, equipments/machinery required for power projects shall be exempted from value added tax (VAT) and any cess thereof |

Other Incentives |
Renewable energy projects shall be considered as the industrial projects under the industrial policy of the state and will be eligible for all the incentives provided to the industrial projects under the state industrial policy Ownership of canal lands beside the irrigation land should be transferred to the PEDA by the Punjab Irrigation Department on notional lease amount of 1.5 lacs per annum per site. Subsequently the canal land should be transferred to small hydro power producers for 38 years in BOO mode. No departmental charges should be paid to PID for deposit work of the canals by PID on behalf of the private developers. However supervision charges on actual basis shall be payable subject to maximum 5% of the deposit work by PID. |
