Mizoram Small Hydro Policy - 2010

HIGHLIGHTS

Nodal Agency	Zoram Energy Development Agency (ZEDA), Government of Mizoram.
Royalty & Free power	Royalty shall be levied from the allotted projects in the form of free power @13% of the deliverable energy during the period starting from COD. 12% will be for the state government, and 1% for contribution towards Local Area Development Fund.
CDM Mechanism	Projects will be eligible for CDM benefitsand developers will share the benefits, as per mutually agreed terms with the agency.
Industrial Status	Incentives for power generating industries under MNRE and North East Industrial and Investment Promotion Policy (NEIIPP), 2007, shall be applicable to small hydro projects up to 25 MW and 10 MW, respectively.
Tariff	The tariff for sale shall be decided by the Joint Electricity Regulatory Commission Manipur-Mizoram/CERC.

Tax Exemptions	Not available
Evacuation Arrangement	Shall be borne by the developer as per technical specifications and guidelines laid down by IEGC , 2010/State Grid Code amended from time to time.
